Christmas gift for my precious waifu kaifuu, her character Byakko *v*

I like all of Kaifuu's characters, they all have something unique in them that makes me want to scream with joy, but Byakko is somehow different. Like she has this spell to her that makes me go in circles around her and admire the fact that she's breathing and how majestic it looks. An actual queen with brain, looks and power that will crush your skull between her fingers. The perfect role model material for little girls tbh.

This may seem like a generic picture, but I put a lot of thought into it. When I draw a character that's not mine, I tend to imitate the style they're drawn in, so it actually looks more like them. But Kaifuu's style is almost impossible for me to imitate because it's so different plus I knew how I wanted it to look and couldn't imagine how she would have done it. So I decided to take another really recognizable feature of her style and put it into this painting - her colors.
We talk a lot about art. Like, all the time. And we often talk about how different our styles are and especially colors we usually use. My art is the monster hiding in the dark that wants to eat your fingers, while her art is the kid dancing in the field and picking up flowers. So I really wanted it to feel like it was her character from her world, not from mine. I hope it worked and that it makes sense lol
